Kevin Manion is Vice President, Policy & Practice at the CHRO Association, where he works with CHROs and senior HR leaders to explore the complex issues shaping organizations, leadership and the future of work. Drawing on research, member experience and external perspectives, he helps translate emerging challenges and ideas into practical insights, conversations and solutions that senior leaders can use. At the heart of his work is a belief that the best workplaces are built with equal parts strategy and humanity.
Kevin brings more than 25 years of leadership experience spanning human resources, research, information science and executive coaching. Prior to joining the CHRO Association, he held senior HR leadership roles with Amazon/AWS, Truist/SunTrust, Airgas/Air Liquide and Consumer Reports. His experience includes leading global teams, large-scale organizational transformations and enterprise programs, including a $100 million global HR program at Amazon. Across his career, he has worked closely with senior executives on organizational strategy, talent, culture, leadership and transformation.
A consistent thread throughout Kevin’s career has been a curiosity about how people and organizations work, and how research, data and diverse perspectives can help leaders make better decisions. His early career at The New York Public Library, combined with his training in library and information science, shaped an approach to finding, evaluating and synthesizing complex information that has remained central throughout his career.
Kevin holds an MBA from Pace University and a Master of Library and Information Science from McGill University. He is an ICF-certified executive coach and SHRM Senior Certified Professional and is certified in multiple leadership assessments.
