The Center on Workplace AI invites you to join our AI Case Study series for an in-depth conversation with Darrell Ford, EVP and Chief Human Resources Officer at UPS, and members of his team, on how UPS turned one of its toughest seasonal challenges into a multi-million-dollar opportunity.
Every year, UPS hires roughly 200,000 seasonal workers between Thanksgiving and Christmas — a volume that pushed manual processes to their limits. By deploying AI-powered analysis, the company projects $2.2 million in savings over five years and freed HR to focus on higher-value work like workforce planning and succession. Hear how UPS navigated the change management challenge of getting HR teams to trust — and let go of — manual review, and what it took to govern a fast-moving, multi-vendor AI rollout under a compressed timeline.

This session will include a brief presentation of the case study, followed by a moderated discussion and member Q&A.
